Half-Life Dedicated Server 2
HLDS2, together with a retail installation of Half-Life (or a 4.1.1.0 package), is all you need to setup a server. With everything prepackaged, configuring the server is just a matter of following the included guide, after which everything is set to get it up and running with WON2.

Compatibility
As stated in the instructions, do not install HLDS2 to your Half-Life / Counter-Strike Retail installation, as HLDS2 uses some Steam DLLs. Doing so will corrupt your game. Should you have ignored these warnings and installed it anyway, you can correct this issue by reinstalling the Half-Life v1.1.1.0 patch (or the CS Retail v1.0.0.5 patch for owners of this game), after which you (re)install any other WON2 patches, including the Half-Life 1.1.1.2 Retail Update.
How to Install
Read the notes included in the RAR file. Be sure to open it with WinRAR instead of extracting it right away to read them. You may also want to check out the latest version of the installation notes in the Support section.
